Ethos / Peterson’s Acquires Animal Behavior College
We’re excited to announce that Ethos Software portfolio company Peterson’s LLC has acquired Animal Behavior College (“ABC”).
ABC is the leading vocational school dedicated to training aspiring pet care professionals. With a mission to help people help animals, ABC has graduated over 32,000 students across the U.S. and Canada, making it the most recognized certification provider in the pet care space. Flagship offerings include certification courses for Dog Obedience Instructor, Grooming Instruction, and Veterinary Assistant. ABC was founded in 1998 by Steven Appelbaum and is headquartered in Southern California.
“ABC invented the animal vocation certification category. We’re honored to be able to guide the company in its next chapter of growth,” said Peterson’s CEO Brian Coyne.
“It’s been a wonderful 28 years. We’re confident that Peterson’s and Ethos will continue to deliver the excellent training for which we are known,” said Steven Appelbaum, outgoing CEO of ABC.
Effective immediately, ABC will become a division of Peterson’s LLC.
